Raksha Bandhan

Raksha Bandhan is a Hindu festival that celebrates the love and duty between brothers and sisters; the festival is also popularly used to celebrate any brother-sister relationship between men and women who are relatives or biologically unrelated. It is called Rakhi Purnima or Rakhi, in many parts of India. The festival is observed by Hindus, Jains, and many Sikhs. Raksha Bandhan is primarily observed in India, Mauritius and parts of Nepal. It is also celebrated by Hindus and Sikhs in parts of Pakistan, & by some people of Indian origin around the world. Raksha Bandhan is an ancient festival, & has many myths & historic legends linked to it  like the   Rajput queens practised the custom of sending rakhi threads to neighbouring rulers as token of brotherhood.

On Raksha Bandhan, sisters tie a rakhi (sacred thread) on her brother's wrist. This symbolize the sister's love & prayers for her brother's well-being, & the brother's lifelong vow to protect her. The festival falls on the full moon day  of the Shravan month of the   Hindu lunisolar calendar. Raksha Bandhan in Sanskrit literally means "the tie or knot of protection". It is an ancient Hindu festival that ritually celebrates the love & duty betwe- -en brothers & their sisters. The sister performs a Rakhi ceremony, then prays to express her love and her wish for the well being of her brother; in return, the brother ritually pledges to protect and take care of his sister under all circumstances. It is one of the several occasions in which family ties are affirmed in India. The festival is also an occasi- -on to celebrate brother-sister like family ties between cousins or distant family members sometimes between biologically unrelated men and women. To many, the festival transcends biological family, brings together men and women across religions, diverse ethnic groups and ritually emphasizes harmony and love. It is observed in the Hindu calendar month of Śrāvaṇa, and typically falls in August every year.

Atif Aslam

Atif Aslam (Muhammad Atif Aslam) is a Pakistani singer , dancer and film actor. His film debut was in the 2011 social drama Bol, which was the one of the highest-grossing Pakis- -tani films of all the time. He has recorded numerous chart-topping songs, and is known for his vocal belting technique. He was declared the most popular artist on Saavn (an Indian music streaming service) in 2013, followed by Arijit Singh, A. R. Rahman, Shreya Ghoshal, and Mohit Chauhan. Atif is the youngest recipient of Tamgha-e-Imtiaz, a Pakistani civilian decoration. Atif was born into a Muslim family in Wazirabad, Pakistan. He began his education in kindergarten at Kimberley Hall School, Larkana. In 1991 he moved to Rawalpindi where he continued his studies in St. Paul's Cambridge School,  Satellite Town, Rawalpindi. Atif returned to Lahore in 1995 where he continued his studies in Divisional Public School, Lahore. He continued onwards to his FSC in Punjab College where he graduated with a Bachelor's degree. He married his long-time girlfriend, educationist Sara Bharwana, in Lahore on 30 March 2013.Atif has three songs featured in the American independent film Man Push Cart which has won international awards and was praised by critics. He then sang two songs in Mira Nair's film The Reluctant Fundamentalist. His two other songs 'Doorie' and 'Maula' from his second album Doorie were picked up in 2010 for the soundtrack of the Hindi version of the Mexican film La mujer de mi hermano, directed by Ricardo de Montreuil.

Shakti Mohan

Shakti Mohan is a contemporary dancer from India. She was the winner of Zee TV's dance reality show Dance India Dance season 2. Shakti also won a cash prize of Rs. 5 million from Zee TV and a Suzuki Wagon R. Shakti has a brief appearance in the video for the title song of the movie Tees Maar Khan, and in the movie Rowdy Rathore she has a main appearance in its item song "Aa Re Pritam Pyaare". She plays the role of Kria Ghai in Dil Dosti Dance (Channel V). Shakti also co-assisted Vaibhavi Merchant for Kamli song of Dhoom 3. Shakti Mohan was born on 12 Oct 1985. Mohan is originally from Delhi but has lived in Mumbai since 2006. She studied at Birla Balika Vidyapeeth, a boarding school, & has MA in Political Science from St. Xavier's College, Mumbai. She was planning to become an IAS officer before her appearance on  Dance India Dance. She graduated with a diploma in dance from Terence Lewis Dance Foundation Scholarship Trust in 2009. Following her victory in the second season of Dance India Dance. Shakti Mohan produced dance-themed calendars for 2012 and 2013. In 2012 she collaborated with composer Mohammed Fairouz on a BBC-sponsored dance project in New York. She also produced a dance music video together with her sisters. In 2013 Mohan launched a YouTube channel with dance instruction videos. Parineeti Chopra who came as a guest on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa confessed that she was a fan of Shakti Mohan.

Shakira Isabel Mebarak Ripoll (born February 2, 1977) is a Colom- -bian singer, songwriter, dancer, record producer, choreographer, and model. Born and raised in Barranquilla, she began performing in school, demonstrating Latin, Arabic, and rock and roll influence & belly dancing abilities. Terence Lewis (born 10 April 1975) is an Indian dancer and choreographer, specializing in contemporary dance.Born and raised in Mumbai in a Catholic family of Xavier Lewis and Teresa Lewis, Terence is the youngest of eight siblings. He studied and started dancing in St.Theresa high school Bandra (Mumbai). He is trained in jazz, ballet and contemporary dance at the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and the Martha Graham Center of Contemporary Dance in New York. He is a choreographer in Bollywood films and musicals, stage shows, ads and music videos. Terence has choreographed a number of films and musicals as a choreographer. Terence has choreographed a number of stage shows, Indian contemporary performances, Bollywood Shows, corporate launches, Broadway Westend musicals, feature films, several popular music videos, & has appeared in advertisements. Terence won the 2002 American Choreography Award for his choreography for songs of the movie Lagaan along with Saroj Khan, Raju Khan, Ganesh Hegde & Vaibhavi Merchant. He has choreographed international stage shows, Bollywood shows, corporate launches, Broadway Westend musicals, feature films, ads and music videos. He is the first Indian to receive the danceWEB Europe Scholarship, representing India in Vienna, Austria.  He's currently a judge in the same celebrity couple dance competition but its sixth season. Terence was the contestant of Colors TV's Fear Factor - Khatron Ke Khiladi Season 3 anchored by Priyanka Chopra.Chosen by the contestant Terence Lewis, His partner was Ananya Kapoor from Indore/New Delhi, who is studying engineering from Indore and who did schooling from Air Force Bal Bharti School, New Delhi. The 3rd Level for 13 New Boys was held in Copacabana (Rio de Janeiro),Brazil. He was eliminated in the 11th Episode.

Varun Dhawan

Varun Dhawan (born 24 April 1987) is an Indian actor in Bollywood Industry. The son of film director David Dhawan, he studied Business Management from the Nottingham Trent University after which he worked as an assistant director to Karan Johar on the 2010 drama My Name Is Khan. Dhawan made his acting debut with Johar's 2012 romantic comedy Student of the Year, for which he received a Filmfare nomination for Best Male Debut. In 2014, he played leading roles in the comedies Main Tera Hero & Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania. The following year, Dhawan played an avenger in Sriram Raghavan's crime thriller Badlapur  &  starred in the dance film ABCD 2. Alongside his acting career,Dhawan  performs on stage and has co-hosted two award ceremonies. In 2013, he performed at the Filmfare, Screen, and Stardust award ceremonies, and at an event in Hong Kong. He hosted the 2013 Stardust Awards ceremony with Sidharth Malhotra and Ayushmann Khurrana, and a segment of the 59th Filmfare Awards. He was also part of the 20th Screen Awards, co-hosting the show alongside Shahrukh Khan and Richa Chadda. In 2013, Dhawan performed at a special event alongside Sidharth Malhotra, Alia Bhatt, Aditya Roy Kapur,  Shraddha Kapoor and Huma Qureshi to raise funds for the flood-affected victims of Uttarakhand. As of July 2015, Dhawan is filming alongside Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol & Kriti Sanon for  Dilwale a comedy-drama from director Rohit Shetty. He is also filming for his brother, Rohit's action drama Dishoom, alongside John Abraham and Jacqueline Fernandez. In addition, Dhawan will star with Alia Bhatt in Karan Malhotra's drama Shuddhi.
